The Polders
The "polders" is the geographical name of the area in Flanders that lies immediately behind the dunes of the coast and is approximately 15 km (9 miles) wide. The soil primarily consists of clay, sand and moor.
The flat landscape is ideal for beautiful bicycle tours and healthy walks.
