The Bruges woodland and wetland is the region near by the sea and close to the historical artcity of Bruges.

It consists of the towns of Beernem, Bruges, Damme, Gistel, Jabbeke, Oostkamp, Oudenburg, Torhout, Zedelgem and Zuienkerke.

North of Bruges (Zuienkerke, Damme) the landscape is open. South of Bruges the green longs of Bruges continue to Houtland, famous for its woods and castles.
